Financial Aid

The IUPUI Music Academy is dedicated to its mission of providing the highest quality of music instruction to all interested persons, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Awards are based on need. The amount of financial aid is determined by a sliding scale that takes into account household income, number of dependents, and extraordinary expenses. Awards are made in the form of reduced tuition for students enrolling for an entire year of study (both fall and spring terms).

If you are awarded financial aid, you must agree to the following obligations: consistent attendance at lessons, consistent practice and preparation for lessons, positive evaluations from the teacher, and participation in a recital each semester.

All information is confidential and recipients must pay the tuition balance not covered by financial aid.

Please complete the Scholarship Application and mail it to the director of the academy. A music teacher should complete the teacher recommendation form and mail it to the academy under separate cover. (If no current music teacher is available, the form can be completed by a school teacher.)
